Activity Battery Checker Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 14, 2026

Activity Battery Checker (the "App", "we", "us") helps you monitor the battery status of your fitness sensors and devices. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. It covers the Activity Battery Checker web app, iOS app, and backend service. It does not cover any other service.

Who We Are

The App is operated by Brian Scott McEntire, based in Maryland, United States. Contact: brian@bscottphoto.com.

Data We Collect

How We Use It

We use this data solely to operate the App: display your device battery dashboard, send low-battery or activity notifications if you are subscribed, and maintain service security. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, profile you, or share it with anyone except as described below.

Garmin Connect Data — No AI Processing or Third-Party Sharing

Data obtained via the Garmin Connect Developer Program API ("Garmin-sourced Data") is not shared with, processed by, or made available to any third party, including any external artificial intelligence ("AI") provider or other external data processing service. Specifically:

Any future change to this section requires prior written approval from the Garmin Connect Developer Program team before it takes effect.

Wahoo Cloud Data

Data obtained via the Wahoo Cloud API is handled in the same manner as Garmin-sourced Data above: used solely to operate the App, never sent to any external AI provider or other third-party processor, and never used to train any machine learning model.

Service Providers

We rely on the following infrastructure providers, who process data on our behalf under their standard terms and do not use your data for their own purposes. We do not send Garmin-sourced or Wahoo-sourced Data to any provider other than AWS.

Retention and Deletion

We keep your provider account data, device metadata, and battery history for as long as your provider account is connected to the App. You may disconnect at any time from within the App or from your Garmin or Wahoo account. When Garmin or Wahoo notifies us (via their deregistration webhook) that you have revoked access, we delete or anonymize your associated record. You may also email brian@bscottphoto.com to request deletion at any time.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, or to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, email brian@bscottphoto.com. We do not discriminate against users who exercise these rights. California residents have the same rights under the CCPA; we do not "sell" personal information as that term is defined under California law.

International Users

The App is operated from the United States. If you are outside the United States, using the App means your data is transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your home country.

Security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your data, including encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted storage, and limited-access credentials. No system is perfectly secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The App is not intended for children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country) and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Cookies

The App uses a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version. Changes to the Garmin Connect Data section require prior written approval from Garmin before taking effect.
